When it comes time to relax and take a break from studying and classes, students at Wheaton College have a variety of activities to do to unwind both on and off-campus. On-campus, students get involved in the many activities and clubs from improv to badminton club and board game society there’s something for everyone. The Wheaton Archaeology Museum, featuring archaeological artifacts, and the Wade Center are right campus and showcase a variety of British author collections of books and memorabilia like C.S Lewis’s family wardrobe and writing desk. 

Wheaton is located just about 25 miles west of Chicago, so heading to the windy city is always an option. Staying local, there’s plenty to do! Students can spend a day at the Cosley Zoo or visit the DuPage County Historical Museum. Students can also enjoy the outdoors at favored parks like Cantigny Park and The Morton Arboretum.

To help stay active, Wheaton students can become members at the Chrousher Sports Complex right on campus. Heading off-campus students can enjoy the many nearby parks like Cantigny and Central Park where students can golf and jog through their trails. The Morton Arboretum is a popular nature preserve, public garden, and outdoor museum where students can stroll and serene grounds from 7:00am to sunset.
