Drinking and eating in Eau Claire is pretty easy to do! The city has a pretty charming night life for whatever the reason of your outing. No matter if it's your birthday, work party, or you and your friends are just down for a crazy night, Eau Claire's night life will treat you right. They've got many unique bars and restaurants that are sure to tickle your fancy. Also, so many of the bars and restaurants are very walkable from campus.
Eau Claire is a very outdoorsy city and you're not going to have an issue whatsoever when looking for something to do outside in this city. Phoenix Park is a good place to start. It's an awesome park with walking trails, farmer's markets, and in the summer there is "Music in the Park". What more could you ask for in a park? You've also got to check out the Chippewa River Trail! It's this really beautiful trail that runs along the Chippewa River (I bet that's how they got the name...) run, walk, or bike. Whatever you' like to do this trail will aesthetically please you while you're getting some exercise
