Things To Do On & Off-Campus At Fresno State
On-campus, Fresno State students head to the University Student Union (USU) basement to shoot some pool, play some games in the arcade, and compete against each other in a few frames of Bulldog Bowl. The vast majority of students get involved in one of the hundreds of on-campus clubs from rugby to bachata dance, there’s something to interest everyone. Fresno students also enjoy attending the many events on campus like open-mic night, movie nights theater performances, and suiting up in their red and blue gear, and cheering on the Bulldogs at a sporting event!
Head off-campus and explore the great city of Fresno! If you’re an outdoors lover, you’re in luck because Fresno has immaculate weather all year round and plenty of things to do to enjoy it. Spend a day at the Chaffee Zoo or stroll throughout the Shinzen Friendship Garden. Visit the Forestiere Underground Gardens, which is just what it sounds like - a collection of gardens that were built underground that attracts tourists from all over. And although the ocean isn’t super close (just under a three-hour drive) students do have Island Waterpark where they can go and cool off on a hot day.
