In the warmer months, cool off at the WPR Nassif Aquatic Center or tare up their skatepark. Anyone who’s looking to get away from the city should consider hiking, biking, or even horseback riding the various trails in the area like the Spirit Trail, Knob Noster State Park Trails, or the Pertle Springs Trail, just to name a few.

The University of Central Missouri is located in the small town of Warrensburg. Students will say one of the best parts of living in Warrensburg is the small town vibe you feel and how the entire community is well integrated into the university lifestyle. Even for a small town, there’s plenty to get into both on and off-campus! You can often find students hanging out in the Elliot Student Union playing a variety games, bowling, or catching a free movie on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Attending the free football games is another way for students like to get together and cheer on a Mule victory!

If you’re looking to set your sights off-campus, head over to Cave Hollow Park for some relaxation. Here, you can walk the many trails to the caves and if you have a four-legged friend you can bring them along to play in the dog park. For anyone into cooking be sure to check out the delicious produce and crafts at the Warrensburg Farmers Market that runs year-round Downtown. Throughout the year, the city council holds several fun events and activities such as Dickens Christmas, Burg Fest, Community Sidewalk Sale, Art Walk and many more! If you’re looking for a weekend getaway, head to nearby Kansas City for a night or two out in the city.
