The Newark Opera House is one of  Delaware's most iconic, historic buildings, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Originally built in 1885, the Opera House quickly became a social and cultural hub, with live theater and concerts for over four decades. Its architectural style remains visually compelling to this day.  

Today, the Opera House features 16 luxurious apartments, each with 2 bedrooms,1 bathroom, and a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and hardwood flooring.  

Opera House also offers on-site laundry facilities, on-site gym amenities and a location which is steps from the U of D bookstore.  The safety and security of our residents are a priority.  The Opera House is a completely secure building, accessible to each resident with individually-issued key fobs, and 24 hour emergency maintenance. 

Opera House Apartments are truly at the center of it all: U of D campus; and Newark's premier restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.  We are located  at the corner of E. Main and Academy Streets next to the U of D bookstore in Central Campus.
