When students want to get back to nature for a day, they tend to gravitate to the Spring Valley Reservoir, which offers a beautiful view of the lake and overnight camping, should a visitor want to have an extended stay. The Reservoir also offers fishing and access to active wildlife. Other places outdoors to explore nearby include the Latah Bike Path and the university’s arboretum and botanical garden.
Students at the University of Idaho spend time attending concerts (often performed by fellow classmates that are part of the school’s large music program), as well as participating in and attending sporting events. Greek life is also a huge part of campus culture. U of I students can additionally fill their downtime by spending time outdoors, checking out the local farmer’s market, and shopping at the nearby Palouse Mall.
